Сar sound deadening SGM Base 2 mm is a foundational sound-deadening material made from a classic bitumen mastic and 60-micron aluminum foil. It provides primary protection against body panel vibrations and prevents corrosion of metal surfaces. SGM Base offers stability across a wide temperature range from -40°C to +100°C, allowing for use in various climates. The siliconized release paper on the adhesive side significantly simplifies the installation process.
The material features an optimal 2 mm thickness, which is sufficient for effective performance in low-vibration areas of the body: doors, roof, trunk lid, and hood. SGM Base 2 mm is easy to install—a thorough pass with an application roller is enough for a reliable bond.
During operation, avoid proximity to high-heat components such as the engine, exhaust manifolds, and exhaust system.
