SGM Prime Dual is a premium two-layer vibration dampener that combines modified multi-polymer mastics separated by aluminum foil with an outer foil layer of 100 µm thickness. The innovative two-layer construction delivers one of the highest loss factor ratings (0.68) in the Prime lineup at a thickness of 4.0 mm. The material maintains stable performance across a temperature range of –40°C to +120°C and offers enhanced adhesion to metal surfaces. The mounting side is protected by silicone-coated paper.

In the updated from the beginning 2026 version of the material, the adhesive composition has been improved: increased adhesion ensures instant bonding and reliable fixation without preheating. The adhesive upgrade has made it “smart”: the “smart” adhesion of SGM Prime materials allows for adjustments during installation, with adhesion increasing by 25% within 15–20 minutes and by 60–80% or more after 24 hours.

The material features a matte satin aluminum foil treated with «Prime Satin» technology. This technology creates a developed micro-rough surface structure, providing a mechanical bonding effect with the mastic. This significantly enhances interlayer adhesion strength and completely eliminates the risk of dust or moisture penetrating between the second layer of sound absorber and the foil of the primary damping layer.

The material now features a new design and new packaging.

With a thickness of 4.0 mm and a dual-layer mastic construction reinforced with a foil framework, SGM Prime Dual is the ideal solution for targeted installation on wheel arches and in the trunk, where the material delivers maximum effectiveness. The material creates a full-fledged vibration isolation barrier in high-stress areas.
