Сar sound insulation SGM Prime Barrier 3 mm is the highest-density automotive sound deadening membrane available. With its 3 mm thickness, it provides up to 34 dB of sound insulation when applied as a third layer over an absorber or a soundproofing membrane on vehicle floor panels and wheel arches.

The material is a modified butyl rubber mastic with added polymers, laminated to a non-woven fabric base. Its backing features a moisture-resistant reinforcing adhesive layer that forms a strong, sealed bond with the sound-absorbing layer underneath, effectively blocking moisture.
